Professor Dr. Manuel CHANAVAZ
MD DDS PhD

He is an active collaborator in the creation and pedagogic success of numerous university based post-doctoral programs in implant dentistry outside of France. He is an Honored Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Past President of the Board of Governors of AAID Research Foundation. He is affiliated with a large number of scientific associations in implantology, maxillofacial88 surgery, anatomy, radiology and physiology. He has been President, Scientific Chairman and keynote speaker in over 342 international scientific meetings. Professor CHANAVAZ has also over the years published two university text books, one on Serial Anatomy of Head and Neck and another on Medical Evaluation of Patients Prior to Invasive Dental Procedures and over 102 papers of which 54 have been based on implant related topics. His research on Quantification of Periosteal Blood Supply won him a national scientific award in 1995. In 2002 he received an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeon of England (Faculty of General Dental Practitioners) in recognition of his collaboration with the Faculty since 1996.
